Terms of service
Version 2026.10 · Effective [to be confirmed]
These terms govern your use of SOYL Forms, provided by [to be confirmed] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself or the organisation you represent. If you don't agree, please don't use SOYL Forms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and our Data Processing Addendum ("DPA") is incorporated into these terms and applies to the personal data you collect with your forms.
Who we are
- Legal name: [to be confirmed] ([to be confirmed])
- CIN / LLPIN: [to be confirmed]
- Registered office: [to be confirmed]
- Support: [to be confirmed] · Privacy: [to be confirmed]
1. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account and workspace, including by members you invite. Tell us promptly at [to be confirmed] if you suspect unauthorised access.
2. Plans and payment
SOYL Forms offers a free plan and paid plans, as described on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
Each plan has usage limits, such as live forms, monthly responses and storage. When you reach a limit, new responses pause until the next billing period or until you upgrade. We never charge you automatically for going over a limit.
3. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then moves to the free plan. Your forms and responses are kept. Refunds are handled under our Refund and cancellation policy.
4. Your content
You own the forms you create and the responses you collect. You give us permission to host, process and display that content only as needed to provide the service to you.
5. Your obligations when you collect personal data
For the people who answer your forms ("respondents"), you are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and we are your Data Processor. You must:
- Give notice: tell respondents who you are, what you collect, why, how to exercise their rights and how to complain — for example with the publisher name, privacy link and consent block SOYL Forms provides.
- Have a lawful basis: obtain free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent with a clear affirmative action, or rely on another ground the law allows, and let respondents withdraw consent as easily as they gave it.
- Limit purpose and collection: collect only what you need for the purpose you stated, and don't reuse it for an unrelated purpose without a new basis.
- Protect children: before collecting data from anyone under 18, obtain verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, and never use children's data for tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising.
- Honour rights: respond to respondents' requests to access, correct, complete, update or erase their data, to nominate, and to resolve grievances, within the timelines the law sets; SOYL Forms gives you tools to find, export, edit and delete responses.
- Avoid sensitive data without a lawful basis: don't collect passwords, full card numbers, CVVs, bank PINs, biometric, health, sexual orientation, government identity numbers (such as full Aadhaar numbers) or other sensitive data unless the law permits it, you have the required consent and safeguards, and the data is necessary.
- Delete when done: erase responses once your purpose is served and you no longer need them by law.
- Follow marketing rules: get the consents that TRAI, email and other marketing rules require before contacting respondents for marketing.
6. Prohibited content and acceptable use
As required by Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share any information that:
- belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;
- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or an online game that causes user harm, or promoting enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;
- is harmful to children;
- infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights;
- deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates any misinformation or information which is patently false and untrue or misleading in nature;
- impersonates another person;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, or prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting to any other nation;
- contains a software virus or any other computer code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
- is in the nature of an online game that is not verified as a permissible online game;
- is in the nature of an advertisement or surrogate advertisement or promotion of an online game that is not a permissible online game, or of any online gaming intermediary offering such an online game;
- violates any law for the time being in force.
You also agree not to use SOYL Forms to:
- phish, collect login credentials, or mislead respondents about who is collecting their data or why;
- send spam or unsolicited commercial messages, or harass anyone;
- interfere with the service, bypass its limits or security, or access other people's accounts or data.
7. Reports, takedowns and law enforcement
- Anyone can report a form at /report (a link appears on every published form) or through our Grievance Officer. Complaints asking us to remove content that breaks section 6 are acted on as fast as possible and within 72 hours (claims under items i, iv and ix, which need more investigation, within 15 days); content showing a person in a sexual act, nudity or a morphed image of them is removed or disabled within 24 hours of a complaint.
- We remove or disable access to unlawful content within 36 hours of receiving a court order or a notice from an authorised government agency, and provide information or assistance to authorised agencies within 72 hours of a lawful order, as the IT Rules require.
- When we remove content, we keep it and the related records for 180 days (or longer if a court or authority asks) for investigation.
- Where the law allows and it is safe to do so, we tell the affected creator what we removed and why, and give them a chance to respond.
8. Suspension and termination
If you break these terms or the law, we may remove content, suspend a form or workspace, or end your access. We act in proportion to the harm: where possible we notify you first and give you a chance to fix the issue and export your data, but we may act immediately to protect respondents, other users, the service or to comply with the law. If you think we made a mistake, write to our Grievance Officer; you may also appeal a Grievance Officer decision to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days, as the IT Rules provide.
9. AI features
AI-generated drafts are suggestions. Review them before publishing; you are responsible for anything you publish. AI credits included with a plan reset each month. Purchased credit packs don't expire. Respondent answers are never sent to AI providers.
10. Our service
SOYL Forms, including its software and design, belongs to us. We work to keep the service available and secure, but it is provided "as is", and we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features over time.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Ending these terms
You can stop using SOYL Forms and delete your account at any time from Account settings, or by emailing [to be confirmed]. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 8.
13. Changes and annual reminder
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email or in the app before they take effect and ask you to accept them again where the law requires. At least once a year we will remind you of these terms, our Privacy Policy and the consequences of not complying with them.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
